Our site is designed for Firefox, Chrome, Opera en Internet Explorer with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.
We use Windows, Apache, PostgreSQL and PHP to maintain our site. (But it could have been tools just as well.) We have chosen these tools because they are open source tools (except Windows).
The tools might suggest that our site has dynamic content. That is not so. Everything is running local, and we upload changes regularly.
HTML and CSS is hand-coded for optimal performance.
We try to avoid the usage of tables.
Tables are displayed when the complete table is received by the browser.
If a table is huge, this may take a while, and you are waiting, and waiting, and waiting, . . . . .
We conform our site to the HTML 5 standard and the CSS 3 standard.
